A special state of games has been announced this week which will offer a new look at IO Interactive’s next game, 007 First Light.
The broadcast is scheduled to be released September 3rd on 11:00 PT / 19:00 BST / 20:00 CEST And can be monitored on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
According to the IOI, the broadcast will be 30 minutes long and have a playthrough of Bond’s first mission as MI6 recruits. The gameplay will consist of “high-speed dearing for stealth sequences and shootouts” and will be followed by insights from IO Interactive about the intense espionage gameplay.
007 First Light is easy one of my most expected action games in 2026, so I hope these 30 minutes of gameplay delivers some questions I’ve had about the game since its first revealing trailer.
Will stealth be different from Hitman?
First of all, I look forward to more insight into how the action will differentiate from IOI’s Hitman Series, especially how environmental stealth will play a role in the mission’s progression. Will it be more tactical and require the player to map their actions as Agent 47, or will each mission be written with predetermined results?
Gimme these guns and gadgets
I also look forward to seeing what the weapons loads for 007 will look like. As an agent, I expect guns and a muffler under Stealth along with other iconic gadgets we’ve seen in the movies in the past, and maybe even some brand new inventions for the game.
Al Action Hero?
Similarly, I hope for some whole acts that we saw in the teaser trailer with automatic rifles and melee, which seemed more Unprotected– -like than Hitman From the short look we got.
IOI mentioned that the recordings will also include a look at “high -speed dops”, so I am eager to see if these will be isolated sequences in certain places we see in the trailer, or whether they will be great narrative moments, again, similar to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
We will have to wait and see, as well as if IOI is ready to share a release date. For now we know 007 First Light Start in 2026 to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
