10 killed terrorists, Captain Martyred in IBO

Security forces killed 10 terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan district, while a army officer embraced martyrdom while leading troops from the front, Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

“On March 20, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan district on the reported presence of Khwarij,” ISPR said in a press release while referring to the terrorists belonging to Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

“During the performance of Operation, his own troops, after Stealthily around the Khwarij location, effectively engaged them and resulted in all ten Khwarij being sent to hell,” the Ice Pat, the media wing in the military said.

“Under the intense fire exchange, Captain Hasnain Akhtar (age: 24 years old, resident of the Jhelum District) who led his troops from the front, after fighting gallantly, paid the ultimate victim and embraced Shahadat,” it added.

ISPR said Shaheed -Captain Husnain was a brave officer known for his courage and bold and bold acts during previous operations.

“During the operation, weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain Khwarij, who remained actively involved in several terrorist activities against the law enforcement and target killing of innocent civilians,” the press release states.

A sanitization operation was carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area, ISPR said, adding that the security forces in Pakistan were determined to wipe out the threat of terror from the country and “such victims of our brave young officers further forces our determination”.
