Deadly Hiace car collision on Karak-Indus Highway leaves six dead, nine injured; five die in Nowshera roof collapse

A deadly collision between a Hiace and a car on the Karak-Indus Highway claimed the lives of six people. Separately, five members of a family lost their lives in Nowshera when the roof of their house collapsed.
According to details, a road accident took place on Karak-Indus Highway on Saturday near Metha Khel area, leaving six dead and nine injured. Rescue teams rushed to the spot and administered first aid to the injured before transporting them to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Authorities say the death toll could rise as the condition of some of the injured is reported to be critical. Traffic on the highway remained disrupted until the rescue operation was completed. The cause of the accident is under investigation and early reports indicate that poor road conditions and possible driver error may have contributed to the accident.
In a separate incident, the roof of a house collapsed in Dag Jadeed area of Nowshera, leaving five family members dead and three injured. Rescue teams moved the injured and dead to the hospital.

The five people who lost their lives in the collapse were identified as Rizwan, 36; Walida, 9; Ayan, 6; Hafsa, 5; and Dua, 4. The injured included a woman, her son and daughter. After the incident, Dr. Mir Alam Khan, Director Operations Rescue KP, and Malik Ashfaq Hussain, District Emergency Officer Nowshera, the spot and supervised the rescue efforts.
