Security forces killed 13 terrorists involved in several activities, including more easily a suicide bombing, abductions and the targeted murder of government officials and civilians, during an intelligence -based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, the military’s media wing said in a statement.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces launched an intelligence-based operation on reports on the presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian Proxy group ‘Fitna Al Khwarij’, in Dera Ismail Khan district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
During the operation, troops killed 13 Indian sponsored terrorists and seized weapons and ammunition. ISPR said the terrorists killed in the operation were involved in activities, including facilitating a suicide bomb attack in Daraban in December 2023, abduction and target killing of government officials and innocent civilians.
The statement added that an operation was underway to clear the area of ​​remaining terrorists, confirming that Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to eliminate the threat of Indian-backed terrorism from the country.
PM, President praises security forces
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised security forces for the operation in Dera Ismail Khan. “The terrorists who conducted the suicide attack in Daraban in December 2023, causing damage to innocent civilians, have been sent to hell in this recent operation,” he said in a statement.
He praised the military and security forces for their professionalism and said they remained central to Pakistan’s terrorist fighting. “Through the Pakistan army and security forces’ professional skills, we will erect the terrorist in the country,” maintained the Prime Minister.
He added that all state institutions were fully mobilized to ensure elimination of militant conditions. “All government institutions are fully active in complete extermination of terrorism from the country,” he concluded.
President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the nation and security forces for a successful operation against terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan. In his statement he praised the soldiers against and their role in ensuring national security. “Our soldiers’ courage and victims make every citizen of the country safety,” said President Zardari.
He said the fight against terrorism was critical of securing Pakistan’s future. “This fight against terrorism is the guarantee of Pakistan’s peaceful future,” he said.
Zardari added that the victims made to maintain the authority of the state would be remembered in history. “Every victim of establishing the state’s writing will be written in golden words in history,” he said.
“The population of Pakistan has always stood with their martyrs and ghazis and rejected terrorism,” he said. “Saving the young generation from extremism is our collective responsibility,” he concluded.
Shehbaz warns Kabul
Pakistan has continuously faced terrorists infiltration from the border areas of Afghanistan. Last week, Prime Minister Shehbaz categorically warned Kabul categorically to make a clear choice between Pakistan and Khawarij, saying that Afghanistan could not host militants destabilized their neighbor while at the same time expected normal bond with Islamabad.
“Pakistan will deliver an appropriate riposte for terrorism,” he declared, emphasizing that “there will be no ambiguity or hesitation in it.” He said that Masterminds and facilitators of terrorist attacks in Pakistan operate from Afghan Earth with Indian support.

“Afghanistan has been categorically told to choose between Islamabad and Khawarij,” he added. PM noted that Afghan citizens had been involved in the recent attacks after infiltrating across the border, emphasizing the urgent to repatriate undocumented Afghan residents.
When he rejected what he called the politicization of terrorism, Shehbaz warned that “those who advocate for Khawarij or facilitate India’s terrorist project, act as their agents and will be treated accordingly.”
The statement came after 19 soldiers were martyred, and 45 terrorists attached to the Indian sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij network were killed in three separate intelligence-based operations performed in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa between September 10 and 13.
