13 terrorists killed during two separate IBOs in KP: ISPR

Thirteen terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al Khawarij were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was conducted in Mohmand district following reports of the presence of Khawarij in the area. During the operation, the troops effectively attacked a terrorist hideout and after an intense exchange of fire, killed seven terrorists.

In a separate intelligence-based operation conducted in Bannu district, security forces successfully neutralized six more Khawarij, the ISPR said. Both operations were carried out on 12 and 13 December.

The military’s media wing said clearance operations were underway to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored Khawarij present in the area.

It added that security forces, in coordination with law enforcement agencies, remain committed to a relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, as endorsed by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.

The ISPR reaffirmed that counter-terrorism operations would continue at full pace until the complete elimination of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz praises security forces for successful IBOs

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has hailed the security forces for conducting two successful counter-terrorism operations against Fitna al Khawarij terrorists in Mohmand and Bannu districts.

In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Press Wing, the Prime Minister praised the security forces for eliminating 13 terrorists during the separate operations. He praised their professionalism, bravery and unwavering commitment to protect the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said that under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, the security forces are achieving great successes in the ongoing war against terrorism. He affirmed the government’s resolve to continue the determined action against terrorist elements.

The Prime Minister further stated that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in the fight against terrorism. He emphasized that the people of Pakistan are united and fully determined to eradicate terrorism in all its forms from the country.
