16 terrorists killed as forces foil infiltration bid

Security forces killed 16 terrorists trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the general area of ​​Ghulam Khan Kallay in northern Waziristan district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Public Relations (ISPR) said in a news message on Sunday.

It said the Pakistani soldiers engaged the penetrating terrorists effectively as they prevented their infiltration attempts. It added that security forces were determined and remained obliged to secure the country’s borders and eliminate the threat of terrorism.

“The night 22/23 March was the movement of a group of Khwarij trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, picked up by the security forces in the ordinary area of ​​Ghulam Khan Kallay, North Waziristan District,” the ISPR news message said.

“Own troops engaged effectively and prevented their attempts to infiltrate. After an intense fire exchange, all sixteen Khwarij was sent to hell,” added it, referring to the expression used to the terrorists belonging to the forbidden Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The ISPR, the media wing in the military declared that Pakistan had consistently asked the preliminary Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border.

“The preliminary Afghan government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan land of Khwarij to perpetuate terrorist acts against Pakistan. The security forces in Pakistan are determined and remain obliged to secure its borders and eliminate the threat of the threat from the country.”

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated, in their separate statements, security forces to stop the infiltration bidding at the border between Pakistan-Afghanistan and kill 16 terrorists in a timely operation.

Zardari said the brave armed forces in Pakistan were determined to defend the country’s borders around the clock. “The entire nation stood with security forces in the war against terrorism, and the operations against terrorists will continue until the complete extinction of this threat.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz said terrorists would not be allowed to succeed in their dishonest design. He added that he and the entire Pakistani nation stood with the brave armed forces that defended the country with unshakable determination.
