18 terrorists killed in Balochistan IBO: ISPR

Arms, ammunition, explosives recovered from terrorists involved in several attacks

Security forces kill 18 terrorists linked to Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan in two separate operations in Balochistan on 28 and 29 October.

An intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Chiltan mountains of Quetta district targeted the reported presence of terrorists. “During the operation, our troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense exchange of fire, 14 Indian-sponsored terrorists were neutralized and sent to hell,” ISPR said.

In another operation in Buleda, Kech district, a terrorist hideout was raided and four terrorists were “successfully neutralized”. Arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the terrorists, who were allegedly involved in several terrorist activities.

“Decontamination operations are underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area,” ISPR added.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have praised the security forces for two successful operations against Fitna al Hindustan terrorists in Quetta and Kech districts.

In a statement, President Asif Ali Zardari said that the security forces under “Azm e Istehkam” are committed to eliminate terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a statement that the entire nation stands with the security forces in the fight against terrorism. He reiterated the firm commitment to eradicate terrorism in all its forms from the country.

An attack on the Jaffer Express took place on Wednesday night when terrorists fired four rockets at the passenger train. Security forces responded quickly, thwarting the attack and forcing the assailants to flee.

At least 13 people, including two policemen, were injured in a hand grenade attack on a police van in Dera Murad Jamali on Wednesday.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ghulam Sarwar Bhayo, unidentified assailants hurled a hand grenade at a police vehicle on routine patrol near Shah Petrol Pump. The explosion left 13 people injured, including police officers, women and children.
