ISLAMABAD:
Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi said on Wednesday that Pakistan’s first safe and smart railway station has been established in Rawalpindi.
“The station is equipped with a 24/7 AI-based surveillance system and 184 modern surveillance cameras, which significantly enhances security and operational supervision,” he said during a meeting with Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ali, where ongoing reforms and development initiatives in Pakistan Railways were discussed.
The minister said that a Rail Tag system has been introduced to enable real-time tracking of trains and rolling stock.
