Two Marquette Golden Eagles -men Lacrosse players were killed in a car accident Friday night near the university’s main campus in Milwaukee, officials said.
The victims were identified as Noah cheater and Scott Michaud.

“Keep Noah and Scott’s parents, siblings and families and Marquette athletics and university communities in your prayers,” said Marquette President Kimo Ah Yun in a statement of social media. “Noah and Scott’s life were taken too early, and we share in heartache for their teammates, coaches and those who knew them in person.”
Cheater, 20, was an attacker for the team. Sophomore was a college of business administration student from Irving, New York. Michaud, 19, was a goalkeeper for the Lacrosse troop. Sophomore was a biomedical science major from Springboro, Ohio.
Both men were named the Big East Conference’s all-academic team in their first year at the school to maintain a 3.0 GPA average.

A 41-year-old driver collided with another vehicle containing six residents on Friday night, the Milwaukee police said. All six residents of the other vehicle were members of the Lacrosse team, according to Marquette officials.
Cheater and Michaud were declared dead on stage. The other four residents were treated either on stage or at nearby hospitals, police say.
The 41-year-old driver was not immediately identified. Police said an investigation is going on and criminal prosecutor is awaiting review of the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
