Scottie Scheffler was not able to defend his Masters’ Title of Augusta this year, but PGA Tour Star still managed to make headlines.

As the latest winner, it was Scheffler’s job to help put McIlroy in the coveted green jacket. But fans couldn’t help noticing Scheffler’s quick output as soon as McIlroy had placed his arms in the jacket.

Prior to the RBC Heritage this week, Scheffler offered some insight at the moment and explained that he essentially tried to let McIlroy have his moment.
“At that moment – it was such an emotional day for him, I just tried to stay out of the way and basically just get the jacket on without sticking him or myself,” Scheffler, who also defends his title of RBC Heritage, told journalists with a laugh.

Scheffler is back at Hilton Head in the hope of picking up his first win at PGA Tour this year. McIlroy will not compete – a decision that came long before his victory at Augusta National.
