25 people rescued after Indus Surge

The rescue authorities on Saturday evacuated 25 people, including women and children stranded in the Indus River near Shadi Khan, Attock, after a sudden rise in the water level due to monsoon rain and the opening of Tarbela Dam’s waste roads.

According to rescue officials, the group was caught as the river’s flow intensified unexpectedly, leaving them in isolation and unable to return to security.

The operation, which lasted for five hours, was performed by emergency teams that acted quickly to prevent damage. Cattle also stranded in the river were secured during surgery. Rescue sources stated that the increase in the water level at Shadi Khan Point was triggered by the monsoon-fed release of water from Tarbela Dam’s waste roads.

The quick answer ensured that all individuals were moved to a safe place without injury.

A day ago, in the midst of relentless rainfall in the top regions and the water level in the Tarbela dam, waving, causing the authorities to open the dam’s waste roads to control the influx.
