“Auto versus pedestrians crash at Broad and Spring Garden – The driver of the vehicle is in custody. It doesn’t seem to be intentional at this time,” police said in a post of X.

The driver hit the crowd near the City Center area around 21:30 one – a few hours after the match finished at Lincoln Financial Field.

Hundreds of Eagles fans poured to the street to celebrate the Eagles victory. Fans were seen on top of cars, shooting off fireworks and climbing up the greased light poles.

Police warned fans in advance of precautions taken before the match – whether the team won or lost. Authorities advertised road closures, safety measures and lubrication of light masts.

“Don’t climb the poles, lubricated or not lubricated, don’t climb the poles, because you can crack the poles, and it’s expensive and it’s money we could spend on other things,” said Philadelphia’s CEO Adam Thiel, via FOX 29 Philadelphia.
