According to the military’s media wing, the first operation took place in Lakki Marwat district after reports of militant presence. “Our troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location, and after an intense exchange of fire, fourteen Indian sponsored militant neutralized,” says the ISPR declaration.
In a separate operation in the Bannu district, seventeen several militants were killed under a firefighter with security forces. “Sanitization operations are in the process of eliminating all remaining Indian sponsored Khwarij in the area,” the statement added, emphasizing that Pakistan’s forces are determined to “wipe out the threat of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country.”
These recent operations are part of a wider terrorist campaign in KP. Earlier this week, operations in Bajaur, South Waziristan and Lower Dir Districts resulted in the elimination of 45 militants, with 19 soldiers being martyrated, according to ISPR.
Weapons and ammunition were regained from the militants involved in several attacks aimed at civilians and security staff.

Intelligence reports show the physical involvement of Afghan citizens in some of the attacks, causing Pakistan to call on the temporary Afghan government to prevent the use of its land for terrorist activities.
“The use of Afghan soil against Pakistan of terrorists remains a serious problem,” noted ISPR and emphasized the regional dimension of the threat.
The operations performed on the basis of intelligence reports reflect the continued forces of armed forces on eliminating extremist elements that threaten peace in the region.
