Rawalpindi:

Security forces averted a large infiltration attempt from Afghanistan, which killed at least 33 terrorists in the Zhob Balochistan district, the military said in a statement on Friday, adding that a “sanitization operation” is ongoing for remaining terror elements in the area.

The movement of a significant group of Khwarij belonging to the Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij was detected by security forces in the Sambaza area in Zhob the night between August 7, 8, the military’s media wing, ISPR, said in a statement. They tried to infiltrate through the border between Pakistan-Afghanistan.

“Own troops engaged effectively and prevented their attempts to infiltrate. As a result of precise, bold and skilled commitment, 33 Indian sponsored Khwarij sent to hell,” it added. “A large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered.”

Terrorists from the forbidden Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the group responsible for much of terrorist violence in the country, have officially been appointed “Fitna Al Khwarij”, which officials claim that they receive financial and material support from India’s intelligence agency RAW.

“A sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other khwarij found in the area,” Ice ADPR added. “The security forces in Pakistan remain decisive and unwavering in their commitment to defend the nation’s borders and eradicate the threat of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for foiling the infiltration attempt. “The brave staff of the security forces risked their lives to stop the terrorists and frustrate their dishonest design,” he said in a statement from his office.

The premiere emphasized the nation’s support to the security forces and said that “the whole nation stands with security forces in their fight against terrorism.” He repeated his commitment to removing all forms of terrorism from the country and emphasized the government’s willingness to maintain peace and security.

TTP and its affiliated groups had fled across the border to Afghanistan after their routine in a major military operation, the codename Zarb-E-AZB, in the former tribal areas of Pakistan in 2014. The safe ends found that they have since used as launch pads to attack in Pakistan.

In Afghanistan, TTP developed a symbiotic relationship with other terrorist groups – especially the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) – to intensify attacks in Pakistan. Pakistani officials say they have credible evidence of tactical and strategic coordination between Bla’s Lethal Majeed Brigade and TTP.

These claims were reinforced by the latest Report by the UN Security Council, which explicitly says, among other things, that, among other things, its majed brigade – and TTP maintains “close coordination” in their terrorist activities. The report quotes high profiled, complex attacks required by these groups in 2025 to illustrate the level of operational synchronization between them.

Pakistan has repeatedly called on the Taliban regime to honor his commitment under the Doha agreement not to let Afghan Earth be used by any transnational group against other countries in the region and beyond. However, the Taliban regime has been reluctant to intervene against these groups, in the midst of reports that they seek to use them as leverage in negotiations with neighboring countries.
