Islamabad:

Senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman Alt by Ahmed Bhat has paid rich tribute to the legendary Kashmiri -Leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani at his 4th year of death and greets his lifelong battle and unkind stand for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir.

Bhat said that Geelani’s whole life was devoted to the cause of Kashmir’s liberation and its certain annexation with Pakistan, which he considered the completion of the unfinished agenda of the partition.

“Geelanis slogan ‘Hum Pakistani Hain Aur Pakistan Hamara Hai,’ continues to inspire and strengthen the spirit of resistance among the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said in a statement. Describing him as an embodiment of Kashmiri resistance, Bhat added that Geelani was more than a political figure.

“For decades he endured prison, house arrests and relentless persecution, yet never faltered from his principle of standing with Pakistan and demanding the right to self -determination for his people,” he said.

He said Geelani’s speeches, writings and victims ignited an awareness that still burns the Kashmiri movement today. Even in light of serious restrictions during his last year, Geelani remained a symbol of courage, integrity and an uncompromising voice for freedom, he added.

In a highlight of the current political moment, Bhat emphasized that, after Pakistan’s recent victory in May’s conflict with India, Islamabad must accelerate its diplomatic efforts and seize the opportunity when given by US President Donald Trump for mediation at Kashmir -Tvist.

He said that the inclusion of key kashmiri management in such conversations is crucial as no solution is possible without the real representatives of the people.

Bhat strongly condemned the continued prison of senior leaders, including Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Dr. Abdul Hameed Fayyaz, Masarat Alam Bhat, Asiya Andrabi, Zaffar Akbar Bhat and others.

He said these ruting leaders of Kashmiri Freedom struggle are subject to detention and denial of medical treatment, which has pushed many of them into serious health crises.

In particular, he noted that the Indian government’s intention of converting Yasin Malik’s life prison to a death sentence inside prison is nothing less than a political murder.

Such actions, he warned, constitutes a serious humanitarian tragedy and must be condemned by the international community. Bhat demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners, emphasizing that their freedom is important for every meaningful and credible peace process.

Confirmed Geelani’s vision, called Bhat the UN to intervene and fulfill his long -standing obligation to give Kashmiris their right to self -determination.
