- DC Studios has released one last trailer to Superman
- The James Gunn-instrumented Superhero Film Releases on July 11
- Its latest teaser contains some crucial details of its plot and the weird Easter egg
James Gunn’s Superman Movies are officially less than a month away (at the time of publication, anyway). And as the countdown against its 11th of July release is gathering pace, DC Studios has debuted one last trailer for the David Corenswet-led cartoon film.
Look at
The trailer, who also confirms that tickets are now for sale for one of 2025’s most expected new films, does not just contain recordings we have seen in the DC Universe (DCU) film’s other teasers.
In fact, there are several new clips that suggest the direction of its plot and contain the odd DC comics Easter eggs. So here are four crucial details and/or references to previous Superman projects you may have missed at the first view. Potentially large spoilers followSo continue with your own risk.
1. A glimpse of mister beautiful

If your first reaction to this person is “… who?” You are not alone. Mister Handsome is not an established DC Comics-character-factic, he seems to be a brand new creation for this DCU chapter 1 movie.
Okay, so who is he? We don’t actually know but it hasn’t stopped Eagle -Eyet fans in thinking they’ve seen him in Superman‘s latest trailer.
See behind Nicholas Hoults Lex Luthor in the above image, and you see what seems to be a pale ripped individual standing on a form of podium. Viewers think this human -looking creature is the aforementioned loses handsome.

There is further evidence that this is the case. In the Supermans behind the scenes Featurette we get another glimpse of a creature that not only looks like the character in Superman‘s last trailer, but also has a visible other posture and appearance for most people.
In addition, Houlto and Gunn revealed that Hoult’s son, who occasionally visited the recent fandango interview, further, that the son of Hoult, who occasionally visited Superman Set, had a love for losing handh. When he elaborates who this character is, Gunn teased: “Loses Handsome is Lex’s being, which he created in a Petri bowl running around this flying platform, which is the ugliest, grossest being in the world.”
This does not confirm that the pale ripped person we briefly see is Loses beautiful, but Gunn’s description matches the little one we’ve seen of them. Throw the incredibly ironic name of someone who is not attractive to look at, and this hair Being losing beautiful.
2. Ultraman unmasked

There has been plenty of speculation about Ultraman’s actual identity. I have largely covered the greatest fan theory of this secondary villain, so I will not do it again here. If you want more details of the said hypothesis, read my pieces about Ultraman’s supposed ties to another villain called Hammer of Boravia, my collapse of Superman ‘s second trailer, and the greatest Ultraman -Fanteory, apparently confirmed by some Funko Pop characters.
Superman‘s third trailer doesn’t deliver much in the way of new Ultraman recordings, but there are a few missbare shots of this mysterious individual without his mask. The first shows Ultraman, which blasts of Steel with his own heating vision. Later we see SUPES beat a demasked ultraman with a large metallic object.
Neither clips are slow or long enough to give us a good look at Ultraman’s face. Nevertheless, we know he loses his face at some point, suggesting that we find out who he really is. My money is still that he is a superman clone.
3. Green Lantern’s ‘Big Blue’ call back

At the trailer’s 1: 20-mark we see Nathan Fillions Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, who quarters up to Kal-El. Obviously, something happened between the couple and it seems that Gardner is trying to go supes to attack him. You don’t mock anyone by saying “Make a move, Big Blue” if you don’t try to counteract them.
“Big Blue” may sound like a form of spotted from Gardner’s side, but it’s actually a call back to one of Superman’s oldest nicknames. In fact, it’s a reference to ‘The Big Blue Boy Scout’ moniker, as Krypton son also passed in the 1950s. It is also an alias that has been shortened to ‘Big Blue’ in countless other comics.
This seems to be one of many tribute that will be paid to the man for tomorrow’s literary roots in his latest big screen adventure.
4. Who is Baby Joey in Superman?

The last big reveal in SupermanLatest trailer relates to a character called Joey. He is the stranger baby, we see Clark Kent’s super-powerful altar-ego attitude/rescue as a form of cosmic explosion breaks out around them.
We know that Joey’s father is too. SupermanThe Funko Pop Figure collection has already ruined this surprise, as Joey is offspring from Anthony Carrigan’s Metamorpho. For the uninitiated: essentially, he is a metahuman that can create any kind of element out of thin air.
The prevailing fan theory – a strengthened by recordings shown in Superman‘s second trailer – is Luthor utilizing Metamorpho to keep Joey in safety. And given the unique powers of Metamorpho, he is tailored to design cryptonite, also the only substance in the known galaxy that can damage/weaken one like Superman. It looks like Metamorpho will be forced to create some cryptonite that Luthor can use against SUPES, so Luthor doesn’t hurt Joey.
