San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle had a message to Canadians after booing “The Star-Spangled Banner” before a 4 Nations Face-off match against the United States on Saturday.
Canadians came hard after the US national anthem before the puck fell into the Bell Center in Montreal. The Canadian team then dropped the game to the United States, 3-1. Kittle and the rest of the Americans play and then the game got the last laughter.

“Don’t boo the hymn!” Kittle wrote in a post on Instagram along with the end result.
As soon as the puck fell, the gloves of the American and Canadian players fell as well. There were three games within the first nine seconds of the game.
Matthew Tkachuk fought for Brandon Hagel from the opening of Faceoff, his brother Brady threw with Sam Bennett and JT Miller fought for Colton Parayko. Brady Tkachuk told ESPN that his brother’s fight “happened pretty organically.”

US defender Zach Werenski was unhappy with booing during the national anthem. In the NHL, Boos has been heard during the song after President Donald Trump announced duty in Canada, which has since been a break. The president has also teased that Canada became the “51st state.”
“We knew it was going to happen,” Werenski said. “It happened the last game it happened in the NHL before this, and we knew that tonight would be the same way. We obviously don’t like it.”
The United States was facing Boos in front of their match against Finland and later won 6-1.

“That’s what it is,” Werenski said. “We had kind of an idea. We used it as motivation best we could and found a way to get a victory. But we had an idea of going into it, so it wasn’t a surprise. Definitely doesn’t like it, though.”
