An earthquake hit parts of northern Pakistan early Friday morning and shake home over several cities and cities; However, there were no immediate reports of damage or damage from any of the earthquake areas.

According to seismic surveillance centers, the earthquake had a size of 5.5 and originated from the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan at a depth of 114 kilometers.

Shakes were felt in Peshawar and nearby districts, including Swat, Malakand, Dir, Marran, Haripur and Abbottabad.

Pakistan Meteorological Department’s National Seismic Monitoring Center (NSMC) in Islamabad said the shaking was recorded at 1 p.m. 02:03.

Residents of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Azad Kashmir, Charsadda and Karak also reported he felt the earthquake.

According to reports, Jolts became noticeable in various sites in the federal capital and authorities continue to monitor the situation.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall was swirling parts of Islamabad, and Murree saw showers accompanied by thunder and lightning, which added the weather disorder overnight to the region.

Shaking was also reported in Gujranwala and the surrounding areas as well as across several districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a spokesman for the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Emergency Operations Center is in contact with all district administrations over KP.

PDMA has advised the citizens to call the guideline 1700 in case of emergency.
