Quetta:

Five suspected terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based joint operation performed by security forces and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Dubbar Mountain area of Balochistan’s Duki District.

According to CTD officials, the operation was launched after credible intelligence was received regarding the presence of armed terrorists in the region. During a fire exchange, five suspects were killed on the spot.

The bodies were later moved to Civil Hospital Duki for Medico-legal formalities and then transported to Civil Hospital Quetta via ambulance for further procedures. The deceased’s identity has not yet been confirmed and a study is underway to determine their possible connections to prohibited clothing.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti paid tribute to CTD and the security forces for their quick action by neutralizing the threat. He confirmed the government’s obligation to protect citizens’ lives and property and said there would be no compromise on the peace and security of the province.

Safety in and around the area has been tightened after surgery as authorities continue to limit militaryness in the region.
