Terrorists attempted 16 physical attacks in Balochistan, all were effectively repulsed
At least 67 Taliban terrorists were killed in separate operations in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Tuesday, while a Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was martyred during ongoing anti-terror operations, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said.
‘Operation Ghazab Lil Haq’ was launched late Thursday following renewed clashes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border as Afghan Taliban forces fired at several locations, prompting swift military retaliation. According to an earlier statement, Pakistani security forces killed 435 Afghan Taliban fighters and destroyed 188 tanks and vehicles during the operation. More than 630 Afghan operators were wounded, 188 tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed, 31 Afghan positions were captured, and 51 locations in Afghanistan were successfully targeted in airstrikes.
Speaking at X today, the minister said security forces continued operations under “Operation Ghazb Lil Haq” in response to coordinated attacks launched by terrorists in several districts.

According to Tarar, terrorists carried out 16 physical attacks in Balochistan’s Qilla Saifullah, Noshki and Chaman districts, all of which were effectively repelled by security forces. Troops also faced fire raids at 25 additional locations which were successfully foiled.
“One soldier of FC Balochistan North gave the ultimate sacrifice while defending the motherland while five soldiers are injured,” the minister said.

He added that security forces killed 27 Taliban terrorists during operations in Balochistan.
Meanwhile, security forces in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa repelled another series of attacks overnight. Tarar said a physical attack was attempted at one location while fire attacks were carried out at 12 different locations.
“Physical attack was attempted at one location while fire raids were carried out at 12 locations, all of which were repulsed without loss of life,” he wrote.
The minister added that 40 Afghan Taliban terrorists were killed during the night’s operations in the province.
The operations come amid an intensified nationwide campaign against terrorist groups targeting security forces and border districts, particularly in areas adjacent to Afghanistan.
Earlier today, AFP reporters in Kabul heard more explosions and gunfire as Afghan and Pakistani troops continued the border clashes. Explosions echoed across the capital along with anti-aircraft fire, while Afghanistan’s defense ministry said fighting with Pakistani forces was ongoing.
At the nearest border crossing, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) from Jalalabad, residents of Torkham said AFP the day-long fighting continued.
The neighbors have clashed along the border since Thursday, when Afghanistan launched a border offensive in response to Pakistani airstrikes.
Islamabad said its airstrikes in February that triggered the escalation were targeting terrorists. Islamabad accuses Afghanistan of failing to act against terrorist groups that carry out attacks in Pakistan, which the Taliban government denies.
The border fighting has affected several Afghan provinces. The violence in recent days is the worst since October fighting killed more than 70 people on both sides, with land borders between the neighbors largely closed since.
