The past weekend in May is upon us, and without wanting to sound hyperbolic, the fifth month of 2025 aims to go out with a smell.
Well, on ‘what to see at home’ in front. The world’s best streaming services have released lots of new movies and shows to enjoy between now and the start of the new work week on Monday (or for those of you in the US and UK, Tuesday because of the recent holiday debt’s arrival).
So from the three offers, Netflix has given us this week at different genre ticket prices on a number of its streaming rivals, here’s what you want to catch over the next few days. – – Tom Power, Senior Entertainment Reporter
Fear Street: Prom Queen (Netflix)
Look at
Subsequently from the success of the first three Fear Street Movies that are a new tale of terror to enjoy. Fear Street: Prom Queen seems to channel Stephen King’s Carrie And as such, I’m very excited about this one.
With the other three who score a lot enough to be on our best Netflix movie, it will be interesting to see if they are lucky a fourth time. This movie sounds promising and the early trailers have caught my attention, but its current 44% rotten tomatoes critical score stalls don’t well.
Set In 1988, we follow the senior year on Shadyside High as they begin their prom queen choice, which is a very cut neck competition. Unfortunately the cut throat in literal Sense as a serial killer is targeted at all candidates. It sounds like it will be a senior prom to remember for all the wrong reasons. – – Lucy Buglass, Senior Entertainment Writer
Ni Perfect Strangers Season 2 (Hulu/Prime Video)
Look at
Nine perfect strangers is back to his second season at Hulu (USA) and Prime Video (internationally), and it brings an all-star-role crew with it. It may not save it from receiving a mixed answer, especially since Season 1 has a 59% rotten tomatoes score among critics.
This season, Nicole Kidman, along with Mark Strong, Henry Golding and Annie Murphy, gets with the plot that centered about nine tourists arriving in the Austrian Alps to embark on a transformative journey on a wellness resort.
Will Nine perfect strangers Earn a little rest and relaxation by doing it on our best hulu shows and best prime video shows lists using his second excursion? Time will show. – – Lb
Mickey 17 (Max)
Look at
Bong joon-ho wowed us with the multi-prize-winning Parasite A couple of years ago, but his latest film is really out of this world. While it didn’t quite reach the heights of his Oscar-winning masterpiece, Mickey 17 Still have a lot to say and should become part of our best max movie list soon enough.
Led by Robert Pattinson, we follow a man (the titular Mickey_ who joins a space colony as a ‘usable, ie a disposable worker who is cloned every time he dies. And yes, you guess it, it’s happened 17 times, which is pretty rough to go.
However, a wrench appear in the works when the 17th Mickey actually survives his apparent death when his replacement is printed, which means there are now two versions of Mickey who are struggling to survive. Here you get a brilliant double performance from Pattinson as well as an All-Star-supporting Role Crew with Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo, the latter of who plays one very Obnoxious Politician character in this Max Sci-Fi flick. – – Lb
Sirens (Netflix)
Look at
This new limited series has been compared to HBOS SMASH HIT Succession But in my opinion, the similarities begin and end with the familial melodrama that is the core of Sirens.
A dark comedy drama, it plays Meghann Fahy as Devon who becomes more and more concerned about the well-being of her younger siblings Simone (played by earlier Dragon House Actor and soon Supergirl in James Gunns DCU Milly Alcock).
In fact, Simone works for Enigmatic Billionaire Michaela (the still the ex -ex -Julianne Moore), and the couple’s creepy, cult -like relationship is clearly disturbing enough that Devon, who is hardly the epitome of a well -rounded man, to rock up Michaela’s lavish home to keep an intervention for her sister. Cue an explosive weekend of discourse and revelations in this dark comedy program that has been positively received by everyone – TP
Fountain of Youth (Apple TV+)
Look at
With a critically recognized back catalog of hits, Apple apparently can’t do anything wrong on TV original front. However, things are very different on the film development page, where the tech giant’s film library is more hit-and-miss than it would like.
Fountain of YouthThe next Apple TV+ Flick hopes to be the former rather than the latter. Guy Ritchies Indiana Jones-Inspired film stars John Krasinski and Natalie Portman as siblings (and dishonest explorers), who, yes, you have guessed it, began to find the fountain of the legendary youth. Eiza Gonzalez, Laz Alonso and Domnhall Gleeson are among the supportive role crews.
Like Apple, Ritchie’s movie has a tendency to be large or beautiful garbage, so Fountain of Youth Could go both ways with both fans and critics. Will we add it to our best Apple TV+ movie list in the next week or so? Or will its potentially old and clicked storytelling formula turn people off? We will find out soon enough. – – TP
Clarkson’s Farm Season 4 (Prime Video)
Look at
Everyone’s favorite Petrolhead-Vendte Agriculture Returns to another rate of his popular (well, liked in England, anyway) Prime Video Series.
That is right, Clarkson’s farm is back to its fourth season. And if the three previous rates were any indication, we can expect even more rural -based chaos from Jeremy Clarkson, Caleb and the rest of the gang down on Diddly Squat Farm.
As mentioned, this comedy-corded docueries have been a big hit for Amazon on British Shores, so I suppose season 4 will shoot to the top of Prime Video’s Top 10 TV diagram in the coming days. Don’t be surprised if it doesn’t return to our list of Prime Prime Video Shows. – – TP
Big Mouth Season 8 (Netflix)
Look at
Big mouth growing up. In fact, the upcoming age animation is bent out with its eighth and last season that follows the characters as they start a new chapter in high school.
You can expect lots of cringe, raw adult humor again, and the action includes Nick, who goes to another high school, and gets excited with a new best friend while neglecting his old, and Jay becomes an overprotective parent after getting a melon to look like a school project.
With an impressive 94% rotten tomatoes assessment, fans have loved this series and will undoubtedly be very sad to see it go. But who knows, maybe the characters will return back down the line? – – Lb
