- More than half of the British owners of small businesses are already using AI daily
- Efficiency is still the strongest reason why small businesses continue to adopt AI
- Single dealers experience the greatest benefits of adopting tools for artificial intelligence
AI is now firmly embedded in daily owners of many small businesses all over the United Kingdom, new reports have claimed.
Research from Vistaprint says that more than half of small businesses are already experimenting with AI tools, while about a neighborhood uses them every day to manage tasks ranging from marketing to customer service.
This shift signalizes that what began as cautious experiments is evolving into routine addiction and those who do not adopt AI can be left behind in the long run.
Efficiency is the main driver
Of the 500 companies, efficiency is the most frequently cited advantage of AI tools, where one in three respondents notes that AI has streamlined how their businesses work.
Some point to cost reduction, while others see gains in decision making and customer service, although these benefits are reported at lower levels.
Companies use AI in practical, everyday ways rather than just for high-level planning, as tasks such as draft emails with an AI author who helps clients through automated answers or collect research insights becoming increasingly common.
In fact, about two out of five respondents said they depend on AI to compete with larger companies by utilizing data analysis that would otherwise be out of their reach.
At the same time, some owners remain cautious. About a fifth of the respondents are not yet using AI, even if they are considering doing so in the near future.
The overall tone of the findings is optimistic, with 84% reporting a positive experience so far.
Nearly a third of owners even suggested that they see no long -term threat from AI, which contrasts with wider industry bats that often dwell on risks.
“As a leading supporter of small businesses, it is important to highlight the tools and progress that small business owners (SBOs) can use to grow,” said Sabine Levellier, VP for Marketing at VistaPrint.
“More SBOs are aimed at new technologies to scale their operations, and AI in particular allows them to work smarter and grow faster.”
