Dar in us clarifies his comments on May 9 -attempts

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday outlined the details of his recent foreign visits and confirmed Pakistan’s obligation to strengthen international partnerships.

Dar talked about the press and mentioned that he held an important meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and discussed key global issues, including Conflict Pakistan-India conflict and rising tension between Iran and Israel.

He called his diplomatic missions, which began in July this year, a great achievement and emphasized positive results of the meetings with the international partners.

He also approached a misconception that came from his participation in a session in the American think tank, the Atlantic. Dar explained the controversy and explained that during the Q&A segment he was asked about the trials on May 9. In response he mentioned, Pakistan has an independent judiciary, and such questions rest in the courts, not with the government.

Dar highlighted a number of other diplomatic efforts aimed at improving Pakistan’s global status. He detailed his journey to the United Kingdom, where he held conversations with Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner.

Among the most important results, DAR announced the cancellation of Britain’s ban on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), by air planned to resume in September. He also revealed that the passport treatment system at Pakistan High Commission in London has been streamlined for a one -window operation.

Dar also affected regional connection initiatives, including his recent commitment to Kabul. He talked about the proposed railway line connecting Pakistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, who recognized concerns about funding but ensures that China has promised support.

Referring to participate in the signing ceremony for the framework agreement on the joint feasibility study for Naibabad – Kharlachi Railway connection under the Uzbek – Afghan – Pakistan (UAP) Railway Corridor in Kabul mentioned that this project together with a new motorway from Peshawar to Kabul will be integrated into CPEC 2.0, which is now being deployed to Afghanistan.

When he approached China, Dar described the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as a milestone and repeated the ‘iron -clad friendship’ between the two countries. Both sides formally launched CPEC 2.0who undertakes to expand the collaboration under the strategic partnership in All-Weather.

DAR announced plans to establish financial corridors in Karachi for Chinese companies and highlighted ongoing cooperation in Gwadar.
