Dallas Cowboy’s team owner Jerry Jones’ decision to trade Micah Parsons for Green Bay Packers a week before the 2025 season was definitely raised eyebrows about his role as general manager.

Jones especially said in his Netflix documents, “America’s Team: The Gambler and his Cowboys,” that he continued to be General Manager because he liked “the pain.” The trade with Parsons certainly applied some anguish for cowboys fans who have longed for the franchise to at least get back to the NFC Championship game.

Troy Aikman made his thoughts known in a performance at “The Rich Eisen Show.”

Dallas’ is fighting in the post -season since the team’s last Super Bowl -win has been remarkable. They have been in the playoffs 13 times, including three of the last four years. The team has not been able to get past the divisional round in the playoffs.

Last season, the team suffered several injuries, including to Parsons, which inhibited efforts to get to the post -season tremendously.

The team made some additions during the high season with the acquisition of the broad recipient George Pickens and the selection of the offensive Lineman Tyler Booker in the draft.

Dallas opens the season on Thursday night against Philadelphia Eagles.
