Eagles’ Jalen Carter Fine of NFL, avoids extra suspension after draft

Concerns that Jalen Carter could be sidelined for the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl -Rematch with Kansas City Chiefs were slowed down on Tuesday when several reports clarified that the CARTER discipline is facing.

The NFL issued a fine of $ 57,222 and does not impose an extra suspension. The league decided that Carter’s draft in the opening seconds of last Thursday season opener “will act as a suspension of a game.”

“Jalen Carter from Philadelphia Eagles has been suspended without pay for a game for his action with unsportsmanlike behavior last Thursday match against Dallas Cowboys,” the NFL said in a statement obtained by the NFL network.

“Because Carter was disqualified before participating in a single theater piece, the suspension is considered to have been served in week 1 and he loses his game check.”

Judge Shawn Smith explained the decision to push Carter out of the game at Lincoln Financial Field. “It’s a disqualifiable mistake in the game,” Smith told a pool reporter after the game. “It’s a non-football action.”

Carter’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said his client does not intend to seek an appeal. “After talking to Eagles, NFL and NFLPA, Jalen has decided not to appeal and focus on the Chiefs game,” Rosenhaus said.

Prescott offered context on what led to last week’s incident.

“(H) e trolling, I assume you could say and tried to mess with Tyler booker,” Prescott said. “I just looked at him. I was right here of the two linemen and I assume I had to spit and I wouldn’t spit on my lineman and I just spit in front of … and he’s going, ‘are you trying to spit on me?'”

The NFL emphasized the importance of players showing sporting this season.

“League rules that prohibit unsportsmanlike behavior are of vital importance to anyone involved in the game. NFL has been ready with players, clubs and NFLPA, which it plans to pay special attention to sports this season,” concluded the statement from the league.

Eagles defeated the cowboys 24-20 in a weather-delayed seasonal opener. Chiefs lost 27-21 to Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil last Friday.
