- Borderlands 4 has been subjected to criticism for his performance on all platforms
- Gearbox has released a patch for PC optimization but there are no patch notes
- The study rolled out the patch quickly, but there is no word yet about console corrections
Borderlands 4 Launched on Friday, but with complaints about its performance on each platform (even powerful PC buildings), there is a lot that can be tightened up.
The good news is that Developer Gearbox has released a stability fix for the game on PC. The bad news is that at the time of writing there are no patch notes.
Posting on SteamGearbox has explained that it “releases a new update to improve stability to a wide range of PCs”. What it entails, however, is someone’s guess.
Except for a heads-up that the shadows could take up to 15 minutes to recompile after installing the new update and pointing players to a NVIDIA Optimization Guide or AMD one (Depending on your graphics card manufacturer) there is not much else to continue.
It is worth noting that this patch, no matter what it contains, fell just one day or so after the game was launched. It shows that the study at least is moving quickly to correct problems with the first post in the series to go open the world.
Here hopes that console players will soon get an update for stability. Gearbox has committed to “exploring how to bring [FOV] Sliders ”to PS5 and Xbox Since launching after feedback after society, so expect more updates soon.
I’ve been playing for large parts of the weekend on the PS5 Pro, and it’s hard not to spot some significant image speed -especially when playing in CO -OP -as well as some texture -pop -in. As a result, I really hope these programs run on other platforms before rather than later as well.
However, it is not ruined the fun, and I stand by Rhys’ assessment that it is one of the best in the series so far thanks to smarter writing and improved mobility.
