Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Saudi -Arabia on Wednesday (today) on invitation from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, accompanied by key cabinet members.
During the visit, the Prime Minister holds a bilateral meeting with the Crown Prince to review the full range of Pakistan -Saudi -Arabia -connections.
The two leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional and global development of mutual interest.
The visit is expected to result in the formalization of cooperation in different areas, which reflects both pages’ common obligation to further improve and elaborate on their many years of brotherly ties.

In a statement, spokesman for the Foreign Office Shafqat Ali Khan said that Pakistan and Saudi -Arabia are enjoying a historical relationship rooted in shared faith, values and mutual trust.
The visit of the Prime Minister will give the two leaders an important opportunity to consolidate this unique partnership while exploring new opportunities for cooperation, in favor of the people of the two countries.
PM Shehbaz has been in Qatar this week and attended the Arabic top-Islamic summit where he met Saudi-Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman on the sidelines. The summit was held after the Israeli attack on Doha targeting Hamas dealers.
Hamas said six people were killed in an Israeli strike on the group’s composition in Doha on Tuesday, including its supreme dealer’s son and a Qatari security officer.
Officials described the negotiations as warm and heartfelt. The two leaders discussed the regional situation after Israel’s aggression. “This was a deliberate attempt from Israel to derail peace efforts for the Middle East,” Sharif said, condemning the attack.
Shehbaz praised Mohammed bin Salman’s “bold and sagakious leadership” by uniting the Muslim world and assured him of Pakistan’s “completely diplomatic support, especially on the UN Security Council, where Pakistan is a non-permanent member as well as on other multilateral forums, including OIC.”
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar visited Saudi -Arabia last month to participate in the 21st extraordinary session in the Organic Cooperation (OIC) Council for Foreign Ministers.
