- Feiniu NAS integrates UPS to tackle abnormal power cuts that threaten critical data
- 6-Bay version expected in October and the 4-Bay model will come later in the year
- NAS includes USB-C, USB-A and SD Card Lot connection
Feiniu has preview of a new NAS system, as it claims, will address one of the most sustained causes of data corruption.
The Chinese manufacturer revealed that the upcoming models will integrate an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) by default.
It also stated that this device will have a 6-Bugt model that will be launched in mid-October 2025, and a 4-bay model expected to arrive later this year.
Integrated UPS for Data Protection
Feiniu says abnormal power outages often lead to NAS data loss, which in many cases is not detected until long after the damage has occurred.
By including a UPS in its system, NAS will continue to run shortly after a power outage, allowing the drives to shut down safely and protect stored data.
Such a design can distinguish the device from even the best NAS that is currently available, even if its real world efficiency remains untested until tested.
The 6 -Bay NAS preview of Feiniu has a horizontal design with gray painted sides, a black front panel and the company’s “UN” logo.
The top section includes a grid for drive access, while the lower part has a glossy finish with a red on / off button.
Connection options are on the right side of the device and include USB-C, USB-A and an SD card castle for removable storage.
The presence of a memory card castle expands the possibilities of users who may want a system that offers more external storage.
FEINII’s founder, Zhu Ting, also suggested that the new 6-Bay model can accommodate more than 180 TB of overall storage, depending on the drive sizes used.
This capacity adjusts it with the top end of consumer class and small businesses NAS devices.
The product will be offered in both standard and pro versions with claims to be “very playable” and contain “surprises.”
However, such descriptions leave plenty of ambiguity, and no clear specifications have been confirmed in terms of performance, supported file systems or effect efficiency.
Competing business units are already delivering very large capacity (over 1PB), advanced RAID configurations and snapshot technologies, although most people lack an integrated UPS.
Therefore, Feiniu is likely to knock on its ups and other “surprises” to sell this device.
Currently, there is no official information about the price of this device that makes its market position uncertain.
However, fire recognition can affect expectations and costs are still the most unpredictable factor.
