There is a new chapter in Cam Newton-Tua Tagovailoa saga.
Tagovailoa responded to Newton’s previous criticism and said “yes, anyone can play quarterback in this league da” while rejecting football research at a press conference on Thursday. Newton clapped back Friday.
“Everyone can go 0-3,” Newton said under ESPN’s “First Take” on Friday.

“When I see the situation taking place in Miami, it’s more ‘Love Island’ drama than football,” said Newton, “and to a large extent I don’t want to say it’s all on Tua, but it’s a main ingredient and I just know what he’s capable of.”
Newton quoted how much Tagovailoa is doing to highlight his past success.
“There (were) times we’ve seen Tua Tagovailoa and it was at a high level. You don’t earn $ 53 million … by just being a random on the street,” Newton said.
Newton urged Tagovailoa to rely on his wide recipients.
“Let it rip,” Newton said. “When you have Jaylen Waddle, Tirek Hill and Mike McDaniel as your coach, you have all the assets and facilities. You once shown that you are in a position. I don’t know what this is in Miami now.”
Newton’s comments on ESPN’s “First Take” were in response to Tagovailoa, who mentioned him by name during a press conference on Thursday.
Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa emits sharp response to Cam Newton’s Scathing Assessment

“Well, someone can play quarterback in this league then. I want to see someone on the streets come and play quarterback,” Tagovailoa said. “Cam does his stuff with certainty, but I think it’s easier to be able to keep a click and talk about it that way or talk about what someone else is doing wrong when you don’t go out and have to do the same as them.
“I think it’s easy to do that. I think someone can do it. I don’t think anyone can play quarterback.”
Tagovailoa acknowledged that he has not played as well as he would like during Dolphins’ 0-3 start. Tagovailoa has completed 69.7% of its passports in 575 yards with five touchdowns and four interceptions.
Tagovailoa’s match is what made Newton call him out compared to Dolphin’s Quarterback’s four -year contract of $ 212 million.

“Tagovailoa makes more than Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Baker Mayfield, Matthew Stafford, Jayden Daniels,” Newton said on a previous episode of “First Take.” “Am I pocket-see? No, I put things in perspective here.
“In this case, it should be more money, more expectations.… What you get paid for what you are asked to do what you have the capacity for – from one quarterback to another, I look at the situation as come on, dawg. Especially when you’ve got a Ferrari and a Lamborghini and other facilities that other quarterbacks wish they had.”
The dolphins (0-3) take on the New York Jets (0-3) Monday night.
