- Leaked screens show a “privacy display” feature that may be available on Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
- This can ensure that the screen is only visible at certain angles so snoopers can’t see it
- Samsung is also working apparently with a “privacy protection” feature to empty sensitive data on shared images
Leakies suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series may not have many SP’s upgrades, but rather than focusing on cameras and batteries this year, Samsung can instead prioritize privacy at its upcoming flagship lineup.
The first of these tools, called ‘Privacy Display’, can automatically turn on when certain conditions are met, e.g. When using sensitive apps, or when you’re in crowded areas and when enabled it would make it harder for people to see your screen.
This feature was apparently found by X -User @Achultra (via Gsmarena) in a UI 8.5 code -that is, the feature is not active in the current UI 8.5 test building, but the relevant setting screens can apparently be found if you dig deep enough in the code.

It is not clear from the above screens exactly how this privacy at the next level would be achieved, but we have previously heard that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may control pixels to make the screen less visible on certain angles-appropriate to what you can already achieve with protective screen protectors, but without having to apply one of them on the phone or have it actively any time.
It is worth noting that the screens in this latest leak have several typos, which makes us wonder if they are actually real, but since this is not the first time we have heard of such a feature, it may well come both ways. Hopefully it’s because this can be a really very useful software trick to avoid screen -snoopers on public transport.
Protecting your privacy in shared images
And this is not the only privacy feature that could get to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which SammoBile has seen a feature called ‘Privacy Protection’ in a UI 8.5.
This tool can automatically blur or remove sensitive information from images you share. So, for example, if you share a photo of your driver’s license or passport, you can choose to have any item that you do not want you to be shared blank.
In fact, this is not a whole new feature that Sammobile points out, but so far it is only available in China. With a UI 8.5, however – which is not expected to launch in final form before 2026 – it seems to be more widespread.
It is likely that this privacy protection function will work on more than just the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, but the Privacy Function is reportedly exclusive to Samsung’s upcoming flagship. At least it probably doesn’t work on existing phones as it probably needs new hardware, while blurred content in images can be achieved just with software.
