Meta announced roll -out of Instagram cards in Pakistan, giving users a fresh, interactive way of discovering content and staying with friends while maintaining strong privacy control.
Meta announced the latest feature on October 4, which is available directly at the top of the users’ DM Dills.
The new feature allows Pakistanis to share their location and explore stories, wheels, posts and notes with placement codes, making it easier to find what friends and favorite creators share from concerts, cafes or local hangouts. Users can also choose to share their last active location with selected friends, close friends or none at all.
Privacy remains central to the experience. Location sharing is always off by default and users have full control over who can see their location.
A sustained indicator at the top of the map now clearly shows whether the location division is active, while reminders appear when placement marks are added.
Parents who oversee teens on Instagram also have full supervision of opportunities to see and manage their child’s sharing preferences.
Meta has refined the Instagram card with updates, including removing profile images from card content, clarifying indicators when the location is off and preview of how the brand content is displayed.
Previously, Instagram had introduced a new wave of features designed to improve sharing and connection on the app-Inclusive a long-expected repost feature, a live location card and an updated wheel interface.
The update of the parent company Meta On August 6, the update brings three important tools: a profile tab for elaborate content, optional placement that shares through an interactive map, and a new “friends” tab in wheels to surface content that friends engage in.
