Inspector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, who defies orders from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, withdrew the security personnel awarded to Awami National Party (ANP) senator Aimal Wali Khan, it appeared on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister stated that the decision to withdraw security was made by the federal government and assured that the minister of chief would ensure that security is available.
“Chief minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has given clear instructions that Wali Khan’s security should under no circumstances be withdrawn,” the spokesman said.
The withdrawal of security comes a day after Aimal Wali Khan exchanged heated words with members of the federal government of the Senate.

Prime Minister of Inner Talal Chaudhry condemned Senator Aimal Wali Khan’s remarks on Friday, suggesting that the senator followed “someone else’s agenda”.
In a speech with journalists in parliament, the Minister criticized Senator Khan for making “irresponsible declarations of advertising” and accused him of withstanding “someone else’s agenda”.
“To spit in the sky is his habit. Such remarks are intolerable. I would answer in the Senate, but the session could not continue,” said Chaudhry.
He claimed that the ANP chief made negative comments for no reason, “not knowing who you want to please.” “Pakistan’s successful diplomacy in the last 80 years has no precedent. Still, you reject it randomly.”
AP leader Ehsanullah Khan called the federal government a “hybrid regime” that had taken KP chief minister as hostages, leaving him powerless before the Inspector General, “Anp will devise a new strategy today regarding the party’s President Aimal Wali Khan.”
