- Poor technology causing stress and leading to sick days, researching allegations
- To prove productivity by measurements does not work
- Cutting the number of tools is not the solution
Nearly two -thirds (63%) of workers say that technology has actually had an impact on their lives in the past year, with many workers being unhappy with the technical solutions delivered to those of their jobs.
Almost one in four (23%) has searched for a new job due to technical stress, where one in 20 finishes as a direct result found a new adaptavist report.
Apart from a lack of appropriate tools, workers are increasingly concerned with the always-online concept and constant digital communication.
Adding too much technical stress at work?
About a fifth noticed pressure to keep the connection outside of working hours (19%) and a feeling of exclusion caused by digital communication (19%) and even more concern for error communication tone online (29%).
As a result, 30% feel digital overwhelming, and 41% suffer from stress or anxiety from overloading of review, leading to 12% of global workers taking sickness absence due to workplace technology.
However, the solution is not as simple as cutting online tools – only 16% want fewer tools, but 41% want more training and 45% want more learning resources. The study supports it, with 23% feel stressed due to the lack of support with new tools.
“The companies that succeed in preventing burnout and emancipation will focus on more than choosing the right tools; they will focus on the human elements, from preserving the worker’s autonomy to creating supportive cultures around technology recording,” ADAPTVIVS Group -Innovation Neal Riley commented.
Adaptavist also highlighted a decrease in so -called ‘Task Degreen’ since the 1990s, especially in the UK. With workers who have less control over how they work, one in five (18%) now feels pressure to prove productivity via dated and unsuitable measurements.
Riley advised companies to develop workplace cultures for understanding and support, focusing on human elements in relation to black and white measurements to ensure long life.
