PPP -Scener Walkout from Senate, Na

Pakistan Peoples Party staged walkouts from both the Senate and the National Assembly and demanded an apology from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership about what it described as “disappointing comments” against its top numbers.

During the Senate Session on Monday, PPP senator Sherry Rehman said the country faced devastating floods and affected millions over Sindh and Punjab.

“Instead of strengthening the people in this difficult time, we weaken them through political rhetoric,” she said. “The War of the Order between Punjab and Sindh governments damages the federal coalition.”

Rehman criticized what she called the “use of the Punjab card” and said the red line was crossed. “Getting inappropriate remarks about Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto is unacceptable,” she added.

“Even Punjab has PPP Representation. Bilawal just suggested using Benazir -Income Support Program to help flood victims. Government alliances cannot survive on the basis of humiliation. An apology does not reduce anyone’s dignity.”

She added that PPP had always advocated for climate and noticed that the southern Punjab had been destroyed by floods and crops destroyed. “I’m ashamed of even repeating the words used,” she said. “If an apology is not offered our management, we should not be taken for granted.”

After her comments, the PPP senators tore copies of the agenda and went out of the session.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar expressed regrets about the situation and said, “If anyone’s words have caused evil, I think sorry as a political worker. President Zardari is a senior statesman and will play the role of a settlement. The opposition should not rejoice; we will try to bring our friends back.”

The acting Senate chairman instructed the senators Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Agenanullah Khan and Anusha Rahman to persuade the PPP members to return to the chamber.

Walkout in the National Assembly

In the National Assembly, the session chairman of the President of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq also speaks PPP staging of a walkout.

PPP leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf tried to speak at an order point, but the speaker originally opposed himself, referring to predetermined rules that prevented such interventions during the question. However, after insistence from both the Treasury and Opposition Benches, Ashraf was allowed to speak.

“We’re not here to weaken Pakistan,” Ashraf said. “We are the ones who sing the slogan from” Long Live Pakistan. “We do not believe in provincial bias. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari did not speak against the Punjab government – irresponsible statements come from the reigning party instead.”

PPP Boikoted the procedure and went out and also pointed out a lack of decision -making. When the house recovered, the deputy speaker ordered an employee number, but with the quorum still incomplete, the session was postponed until Thursday at. 11.

Zardari convenes the Minister of Interior

President Asif Ali Zardari called Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to Karachi for urgent consultations in the midst of growing tensions between Sindh and the Punjab governments over flooding operations. The president called Naqvi and discussed the escalating gap between the two provincial administrations.

The dispute arose after discrepancies about the mechanism of distributing assistance to flooded families. The Sindh government, led by PPP, has insisted that relief funds are paid out through the Benazir income support program. However, the Punjab government driven by PML-N has rejected this proposal and prefers to manage relief independently.

Both sides have since exchanged sharp statements in which ministers from Sindh and Punjab hold consecutive press conferences to defend their attitudes. The president’s intervention is seen as an attempt to facilitate tension within the prevailing coalition and secure coordinated efforts to flood rehabilitation across provinces.

A day ago, Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Punjab Information exchanged Azma Bokhari a new round of accusations, which further intensified the ongoing word war between the two parties.

MEMON accused the Punjab government of conducting a campaign against PPP. He said, while the Punjab government is targeting PPP for criticism, the real goal is the federal government.

“Whatever has happened over the past few days, Punjab is indirectly targeted at PPP, but the real goal is the federal government. They have internal problems with the prime minister or center, so they use PPP as a cover to run these issues. In this way they try to create an environment to deter our support for the federal government,” Sunday.

He said, “We are not part of the government, but we support it on an question -based approach. We will not allow Punjab’s conspiracy against the federal government to succeed.”

Sharjeel accused Punjab of being jealous of successful federal initiatives. “When the Prime Minister visits Sindh or Balochistan, the provincial chief ministers welcome him, while in Punjab it is neither a welcome nor a protocol,” said the senior minister.

In response, Bokhari PPP accused of undermining the federal government while trying to politicize flooding efforts.

“Even while serving as Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto, along with his party, erupted the roots of the federal government and the prime minister,” she said. “Those, whose own house suffer from internal disagreement, now make junk comments about ours to cover their own errors and shortcomings.”

She added, “Don’t hide behind any power of attorney. Your tale of dirty policy over Punjab’s flood victims are unsuccessful. Now you bring a story against the Prime Minister.”
