Trump’s 20-point plan requires that all hostages, both dead and alive, be returned within 72 hours after Hamas signs the deal. It also calls for Israeli forces to withdraw his troops and to a complete disarmament of Hamas.
Pearl said regardless of the negotiations in Egypt, the return of hostages and demilitarization of Hamas is “Baseline” for peace. He issued a serious warning that the story was repeated.
“They spent all these years building a terrorist state and just waiting and waiting for a moment when they could do what they did on October 7. We can’t let it happen again. The hostages have to come home. Hamas has to be demilitarized and can no longer be involved in any future government.”
