It was not only the Blue Jays -manager who jabbed on their al East rival, which they angled out to the division title during the regular season.

Then during a post-game interview with Fox Sports’ crew, Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who had a huge ALDS on the record against Yankees, enjoyed a collective dunk on the bronx bombers with a twist on radio play-by-play advertisement John Sterling’s famous call after each win.

“Daaaaaaaaaaa’s loser,” Guerrero said over the microphone that Ortiz came with, while the former Yankee’s Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter couldn’t believe their ears.

Yankees fans may not like the celebration, but Blue Jays have had their number throughout the regular season, and there were many who still chose New York to move on to the ALCs to defend their pennant from 2024. But Blue Jays dominated at home in the first two matches of this series and set a combined 23 race to Yankees’ eight to take a commander 2-0 lead.

In total, Blue Jay’s 34 races scored over four games, and Yankees simply didn’t have so much firepower in their bats despite their talented lineup.
