Sarah Ferguson has been contacted by her two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, amid her search for a new home in Britain.
The two princesses have finally come forward to protect their mother under intense media scrutiny.
Fergie has no plans to leave the UK anytime soon as she is actively looking for her own property in the Windsor area.
A source said so The Times that Ferguson’s desire to remain in the UK, saying: “She wants to stay in the UK, ideally in the Windsor area, and she wants to have her own base so she can live independently and continue to pursue many things like Sarah Ferguson.”
Both of Ferguson’s daughters have come forward with offers of accommodation for their mother. Princess Beatrice has provided a granny annex at her Cotswolds residence.
The annex is a converted former cattle shed in the grounds of the £3.75 million property, which has been elegantly renovated by her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s design firm, Banda.
Princess Eugenie, meanwhile, has suggested her mother could use her Portuguese holiday property for occasional respite.
It comes as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has formally submitted notice to leave the Royal Lodge, although the minimum required period of 12 months means he will remain in charge of the Windsor estate through the coming year.
Andrew will reportedly leave the lavish property in the first three months of next year.
