Nobody Wants This Season 3: Key Info
– Coming to Netflix in 2026
– The production is still missing
– Main cast set to return
– No trailer or release date announced
– Expected to pick up from the events of Season 2
Everyone actually wants to Nobody wants this season 3 and despite it being a bit of a mouthful, we can reveal that the hit Netflix comedy is coming back later this year. Already?! That’s right. It’s quickly become one of those shows that treats us to an annual release, and we’re really not mad about it.
As one of Netflix’s top shows on one of the best streaming services, we’ve followed for two seasons as Joanne and Noah navigate the ups and downs of a relationship and try to compromise faith – and learn that it’s really important to talk about it.
So as the show returns for another season, here’s everything we know about it so far, from the expected release date to who’s returning from its cast, plot rumors and more.
Nobody Wants Release Date Prediction For This Season 3
Hot off the heels of Season 2, Nobody wants this season 3 is already on its way – and it will arrive later this year. Kristen Bell broke the renewal news to her cast on Nov. 4 (shown above), which was less than two weeks after Season 2 premiered on Netflix.
In a statement to Tudum, the show’s creator Erin Foster said, “I couldn’t be more excited to enter a third season of this show. It’s a privilege to be able to write about my favorite couple on a scale like this. As long as it doesn’t take too much time from me to watch reality TV at night, I’ll do it as long as they want me to!”
And when it comes to a release date, Tudum has already revealed that Season 3 will be coming to the streamer later this year, though there’s no specific release date yet.
We got Season 1 in September 2024, Season 2 in October 2025, so I’d predict we’re looking around the same time of year for Season 3. But watch this space!
Nobody Wants This Season 3 Trailer
There is no Nobody wants this season 3 trailer to share yet, but that’s not really surprising since we don’t have a release date either.
The Season 2 trailer dropped, in true Netflix fashion, about a month before it landed on the streamer. So while we’ll get Season 3 in 2026, we’ll get a trailer before that. I’ll update here as soon as it lands.
Nobody Wants This season 3 cast
While Nobody wants this season 3 cast is not fully confirmed, some of the cast is featured in Kristen’s season 3 renewal video, and we would predict that the rest of the main cast would return as well:
- Kristen Bell as Joanne
- Adam Brody as Noah
- Justine Lupe as Morgan
- Timothy Simons as Sasha
- Jackie Tohn as Esther
- Michael Hitchcock as Henry
- Stephanie Faracy as Lynne
- Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan
- Tovah Feldshuh as Bina
As for returning stars and guest stars, there is no official news on whether they might return. Take Brody’s real-life wife, Leighton Meester, who played Abby, although there doesn’t seem to be much reason for her to return from the way Season 2 ended, but you never know.
There are also returning stars such as D’Arcy Carden as Ryann, Sherry Cola as Ashley, Stephen Tobolowsky as Rabbi Cohen (or Big Noah) or Seth Rogen as Rabbi Neil, which we can also see again. But we’re keeping our eyes and ears open for any confirmation.
Nobody Wants This season 3 story synopsis
Full spoilers for Nobody wants this season 1 and 2 to follow. Plus, potential Season 3 spoilers.
Although we don’t have an official plot synopsis for Nobody wants this season 3, we can take a look at how season 2 played out to get a good idea of what might happen next.
We entered Season 2 with Joanne not feeling ready to convert to Judaism—and for the most part, it felt like we were going to leave the season in the exact same position. But then Joanne finally made a choice after a very short (and stressful) breakup with Noah revealed to her what she really wanted in life. And luckily it was him.
But before we could even catch our breath over the turmoil of the titular couple, another big decision was made. This time by Esther. After a potential pregnancy, Esther reassessed her relationship with Sasha, somewhat rattled from Season 2 by his friendship with Joanne’s sister Morgan, and ultimately decided to divorce him to learn more about herself.
And then we will undoubtedly witness both the journey that Joanne is about to embark on, fully committing to her relationship with Noah, while Esther navigates and takes a step back from hers with Sasha.
Speaking to Parade, Adam Brody hopes Season 3 will see Joanne and Noah finally take the next step in their relationship, whether it’s moving in together or getting engaged, he says “relatively soon.” Adding: “I think if he could press the gas, the pedal in a different area, it would be nice.”
And these grand gestures from Noah will hopefully come in return for Joanne potentially, hopefully, committing to converting to Judaism, as Deadline explains.
Season 2 left us wondering what big moments will happen next for these couples, and also what Morgan’s return to the dating scene will look like next, after her breakup with Dr. Andy.
Luckily, speaking to Elle, showrunner Jenni Konner revealed that there’s plenty of opportunity for this in Season 3: “We have so many stories we still want to tell. We want to continue to explore the characters that we haven’t really explored, and I think that’s going to be a lot of fun… and it would answer a lot of questions that you might leave Season 2 with.”
Will there be more seasons of Nobody Wants This?
Nobody wants this has been treated to quick renewals and great performance stats on Netflix, but when it comes to Season 4, there’s no news yet. As has been the case, it will apparently depend on how Season 3 goes down on the streamer, and until it drops sometime in 2026, we won’t know what that looks like.
Season 2 held the number one spot on Netflix’s English TV chart for two consecutive weeks with 18 million views in the first 11 days, according to Tudum. With much love for the show, we’d be surprised if it didn’t continue to run. But that depends on what happens in Season 3, so we’ll keep our ears to the ground.
