Whether you love to see Disneyland ride POVs or the ones just released Disneyland handmade documentary, or wish there were more stories about how Disney Parks was made on Disney+, there’s good news for fans of Disney Imagineering.
After the release of Disneyland handmadewhich premiered on both Disney+ and YouTube on January 22, 2026, Walt Disney Imagineering is bringing one of its most popular YouTube docuseries to its streaming service—and not just as a direct repost.
All seven episodes of We call it Imagineering is now streaming on Disney+, giving viewers a glimpse into how Disney Parks are designed and built. The themes range from the show’s early delve into audio animatronics to the most recent robot episode, which offered an early look at a walking, talking Olaf.
The series pulls back the curtain on the magic of Disney and offers a look at the real world that makes Disney Parks a reality. Whether you’re a fan of theme parks in general or interested in industrial design, the series will show you how these experiences connect.
Disney has clearly done some extra work here to be sure We call it Imagineering really shines on Disney+ – especially if you’re watching on a bigger screen with a sound system or even just a solid soundbar.
Each episode has recently been mastered for Disney+, with the same HD resolution but with less compression and an updated sound mix that bumps things up from simple stereo to full 5.1 surround. That should make the series feel more immersive.
And gladly Disneyland handmadethis move is also about giving more people the chance to discover the series. Not everyone knows to seek out the Walt Disney Imagineering YouTube channel, even though each episode already attracts hundreds of thousands of views.
Brings along We call it Imagineering to Disney+ puts it in front of a much wider audience – and the platform’s recommendation engine is especially good at showing this kind of behind-the-scenes content to curious viewers.
Imagineering also clearly wants more people to see the process itself. Going forward, new episodes will continue to debut on YouTube first before arriving on Disney+ soon, with a new installment set to land in the spring (March to May) and production for 2026 already well underway.
Disney Imagineering is not yet sharing what future episodes will focus on. Still, if the series so far is any indication, it will continue to pull back the curtain on work across Disney Parks worldwide and Disney Cruise Line.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see future episodes tackle upcoming attractions – or even spotlight some of the more unique features aboard Disney Adventure. One of my favorite parts of this series is that it shows the real cast members working across Disney experiences, mainly in Imagineering and Live Entertainment, unpacking specific parts of an attraction.
It gives the inside scoop and highlights the finer details. Like any good documentary it is well paced, with excellent sound and a wealth of information presented in an entertaining manner.

Between the upgraded presentation on Disney+ and a steady pipeline of new episodes still debuting on YouTube first, We call it Imagineering now it feels less like a niche docuseries and more like a long-term window into how Disney’s parks—and cruise ships—are actually made.
Landing on Disney+ gives Disney’s most process-driven storytelling a much bigger stage, and that’s a win for anyone who likes to see how the magic is really built.
