Citing repeated non-appearances, Senior Civil Judge orders arrest in two Bara Kahu FIRs
ISLAMABAD:
A local court on Monday declared Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Ali Amin Gandapur and Omar Ayub as declared offenders in two cases related to the “Haqeeqi Azadi March” and issued perpetual arrest warrants against them.
Senior Civil Judge Mubashir Hassan Chishti passed the orders while hearing the cases registered at Bara Kahu police station. The court noted that both defendants had failed to appear in court despite repeated summonses.
At the earlier hearing, the court directed the authorities to initiate a proclaimed offender case against Gandapur for his persistent absence. After non-compliance, the court formally declared both Gandapur and Ayub as fugitives and ordered their arrest.

The court was informed that PTI founder Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Zartaj Gul and other co-accused had already been acquitted in both the cases.
The cases relate to alleged violations during the Haqeeqi Azadi March – a protest march organized by the PTI in November 2022 after the ouster of the Imran Khan-led government, where the police have registered two separate FIRs against Gandapur and others at Bara Kahu police station.
The further proceedings were adjourned pending the arrest of the accused.
