“The results are encouraging. His vision has improved remarkably and is at a substantially good level at this stage,” read a statement issued by PIMS.
It added that the examination of the PTI founder was conducted today at the Adiala jail involving the following medical professionals: Dr. Nadeem Qureshi, the head of the Vitreoretinal Department at Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi, and Prof. Dr. Arif Khan, the Head of Ophthalmology Department at PIMS, Islamabad.
The statement further said that the medical board conducted comprehensive tests including visual acuity check, fundoscopy, slit lamp examinations and optical coherence tomography on both eyes of Imran.
