The SINDH government has introduced a ban on vehicles operating without “physical fitness certificates” to limit traffic accidents. On Karachi’s roads that were placed for an advertising from Sindh’s Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.

The transport department issues fitness certificates with barcodes to registered vehicles, including water tankers operated by Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation. Heavy vehicles have 30 days to comply.
Vehicles from other provinces must get a SINDH issued fitness certificate. The point department addresses delays in issuing number plates and increases motor vehicle inspectors.
Memon warned that unregistered vehicles would be placed and showrooms selling them would be sealed. Imported vehicles to SINDH must be registered before sale.
CM instructed traffic and district police to improve traffic management. Protests have risen over the recent fatalities, which has awarded calls for stricter control.
Previously, an anti-terrorism court withheld 11 suspects, including Muhajir Qaumi Movement (MQM) chairman AFAQ AHMED, for judicial custody on Wednesday. The defendants were produced before the court in a bulletproof vehicle.
