- Amazon has announced an AI-driven version of its Alexa Voice Assistant
- Alexa Plus is more conversation and can perform complex tasks for you
- There is no word yet about pricing or availability (this breaks the story) …
Live from his headquarters in New York City Amazon is currently hosting his Alexa event, where we all expected the launch of a brand new Alexa Voice Assistant. And see and see, it’s finally here-Amazon has revealed Alexa Plus, its new AI-Infunded voice assistant.
The message marks the biggest upgrade for Voice Assistant since the launch in 2014. And from Vice President of Devices and Services Pano’s Panay’s demonstration at Amazon’s Devices event looks pretty impressive. Need a concierge? Sous boss? Assistant? House Manager? Alexa Plus apparently has it all covered.
One of the biggest improvements in Alexa Plus compared to the classic Alexa Voice Assistant is its impressive ability to hold conversations that Panay seamlessly tried live on stage at the event.
He asked “I’m a little nervous about it, but we’re about to make live demos. What do you think can go wrong? ”. Alexa Plus replied with “With so many eyes on you, it’s natural to feel a little nervous. As for what could go wrong, let’s just say that Murphy’s law is likely to sharpen his pencil right now ”. So it’s confirmed; Alexa Plus has a good sense of humor.
So what can Alexa Plus do? Powered by AI models from Anthropic and Amazon Nova looks impressively versatile. Some of the demos included smart home checks, made restaurant reservations and connect to your calendar to add events or send invitations to friends. The AI assistant also has Vision Powers, which means it can scan documents and remember information later.
Of course, there are also plenty for children. Ademo-Video showed Alexa Plus answering questions and creation of stories that it was capable of before-but this time also includes AI-Generated images.
This is a breaking story, we update it with more information soon …
