Youth told to use social media carefully

Islamabad:

The Federal Minister of Religious Affairs has advised youth to be very careful about sharing some material on social media and stating that they sometimes inadvertently share content containing blasphemy.

“The younger generation should use social media with great caution. At times, they may not even realize that they share content that is offensive or disrespectful,” said the minister, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.

He said it could lead to such a content being able to lead to serious consequences and therefore parents should keep an eye on their children to make sure they do not share any offensive positions on social media.

The Minister said that in response to the United Nations Statement of Islamophobia, Pakistan, Pakistan, complies with the global day of the protection of the Prophet’s honor (PBUH).

He said the Ministry of Religious Affairs has also sent letters to all provinces to mark this day.

He said some malicious elements commit blasphemy on social media, and such complaints should be reported on the Ministry of Religious Affairs Portal.

“The reverential personality through which we discharge our identity is none other than the hole prophet (PBUH),” he added.
