Super Tax Case Hearing is deterred until April 7

Islamabad:

A five-member constitutional bench of the Supreme Court on Friday postponed the hearing of the intra-legal appeals against the introduction of super tax until after Eid.

During the hearing, Makhdoom Ali Khan, the lawyer for different companies, argued for not a tax, but a fee, adding that the introduction of social welfare taxes was a provincial case.

At the beginning of the hearing, Makhdoom expressed Ali Khan compassion for the death of former law minister Khalid Anwar. Later, the hearing of the case was postponed until April 7.
