Festivals for minorities officially celebrated

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said the provincial government is organizing to celebrate the religious and cultural festivals for the minority at the official level.

In her message on the occasion of Holi, she said, “Pakistan is a beautiful mix of communities with different religions where everyone has equal rights and opportunities.”

The main minister said, “Punjab is a country with Sufis, Love and Tolerance, where every society enjoys complete respect and freedom.”

She added, “We create a Punjab where every citizen feels safe, authorized and equal.”

Main Minister Maryam Nawaz said, “The Punjab government is taking practical steps for the protection and welfare of the minority. Education, health, employment and other basic facilities are delivered equal to members of the minority communities.”

She said grants for celebrating the religious festivals for minorities had been increased.

She added, “Protection of Property and the Life of the Minority is ensured by declaring it a red line.”
