An anti-terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has declared Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) leaders Murad Saeed, Hammad Azhar and Farukh Habib as absence in cases related to the legal complex attack due to their repeated absence from several legal hearings.
ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipa Prescribed the consultation against the PTI leaders.
The court also issued arrest warrants for Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi, Raja Basharat and several other absent in the case.
Following the participation of the available accused, the court postponed further hearings in both cases until April 7.
The PTI leaders are facing two cases registered at the Ramna police station related to the incident.
The case came from an incident that took place under PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s performance at the legal complex in Islamabad, where he sought bail in several cases.
A large number of PTI supporters gathered on site, removed security barriers, damaged the complex’s entrance gate and disturbed litigation.
After the event, the Islamabad police recorded a terrorism case against those involved who invoked section 7 of the law of anti-terrorism (ATA) together with section 353 of the Pakistan Pennation (PPC) relating to a public servant in the execution of duties.
Authorities claimed that the attack was overlooked, with some political figures that allegedly encourage the mob.
Several persons were arrested where law enforcement was asked for a Kalashnikov and other weapons from the detainees. Raids were implemented across different provinces to understand further suspects.
Authorities stated that government property had been vandalized during the attack, but credited police forces to successfully prevent the situation from escalating further at Islamabad High Court.
