The words mentioned in today’s search perfectly summarize my feelings as I struggle with threads.
Although I wasn’t today when I cheered breeze through the puzzle – with the only stumble block when I thought Cross was one of the answers before I saw it was spangramed: crossword. Top Punching.
I like to think of all these words as a generation, with babies annoyed by the world’s complications, children pointed out of their parents’ invasions and teens sourly without really knowing why they are touched before they are misunderstood.
Then, as we get older, there is the slow, almost inevitable progression from feeling annoyed, then grumpy, before the last era of grrr – when your loved ones are forced, but your neighbors don’t like you to be cranky.
It is best to accept these feelings, but the more fleeting they are, the better life.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
