A meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) is currently underway, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to assess the situation that stems from the recent development following New Delhi’s response to the Pahagam attack in Indically illegally possessed Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
High -level security skin undergoes regional security and diplomatic consequences of India’s actions after the attack as well as evaluation of Pakistan’s attitude and political reaction. The most important civilian and military leadership are present to provide input into the new situation.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said NSC will issue a “comprehensive response” to India’s accusations, which he described as lack of both seriousness and evidence.
FM Dar criticized India’s “knee-printing reaction” of the killing of 26 tourists in Pahaldam and emphasized that no connections had been established to Pakistan. “This is unjustified anger,” he noted, “and it corresponds to scapegoating Pakistan for internal failures.”
He also claimed that the Indus Waters Treaty cannot be unilaterally suspended as it is an international agreement conveyed by the World Bank.
Sources said the NSC meeting would undergo the overall security situation and get a strategy in the wake of fear of a potential all-out conflict with India.
Meanwhile, sources of the Express Pakinomist told the government has decided to give a strong diplomatic response to India’s Brinkmanship and false propaganda against Pakistan after the Pahagam attack.

According to sources, consultations are underway at the highest level and any future strategy will be approved by the Prime Minister. The sources said that Pakistan has already rejected India’s past claims, and this time the Modi government has no evidence to substantiate its claims.
