Carver-Hawkeye Arena-sold out audience got to see Caitlin Clark in action once again, but this time she was wearing an Indiana Fever jersey instead of her black and yellow Iowa threads.
Fever’s second WNBA -Preseason game was a special one when the Brazilian country stroke traveled to Iowa City to take on Indiana in an exhibition game.
During the 108-44 route of the fever, Team Brazil shared head coach Leo Figueiro a wonderful moment with Clark in the second quarter as he walked over to her between the whistles.

Clark was a microphone for the game, so that moment was shared for the world to hear.
“You’re a fantastic player, congratulations,” Figueiro told Clark, who went up to him to see how he was. “You’ve changed the story in basketball.”

Clark gave a very professional answer.
“I appreciate it,” she said. “Thanks for coming here and playing us.”
Clark changed the conversation from her to Team Brazil.
“Most people you’ve been playing ahead?” Clark asked what Figueiro reacted, “Yes.”

It could have been a blowout, but Team Brazil wasn’t mad after the game. One could tell that they enjoyed the crowd and interacted with players while showing their own skill. Clark and others took pictures and talked to the players after the game.
After the game, Clark was asked about the crowd pouring out into the arena to see her play in her old stomping grounds.
“I definitely give the fans something to cheer about. That’s my goal,” Clark said pr. Hawkcentral. “Get them involved. Get them out loud. Because, I told my teammates, it’s going to be the highest arena you’ve ever played in. So I have to make a few shots and be able to get them on their feet.”
Clark looked just as she did for Hawkeyes and pulled up the logo for a deep three-point that had the audience roaring. She ended with 14 points in just over 18 minutes of play, her first of the 2025 season as she sat out against Washington Mystics in the first forth of the fever.

This year’s Rookie in 2024 is ready to take the next step in year two in WNBA, but this matchup against Team Brazil is another reminder of how Clark plays a huge role in changing the game Basketball and Women’s Sports as a whole.
